You see, there are so many different meaning to this very simple word - Slience

I was having a random chat with Jiayin last night, and somehow we talked until how late we go home and stuff. Of course, me being myself, i said that i always reach home late when i got CCA. So, out of curiosity, she asked me how late is my definition for late? Well, i said it's around 1am.

Living so far away from school is already such a bitch, and with CCA ending around 9pm++++++++ (which could definitely go up to 11pm and above). It's not surprising i'll reach home around 1am. I wasn't used to it at first, but soon i got used to it (as usual) and i seem to love it.

I bet you must be wondering why do i say so?

Even though i'm like dead tired from all the physical training and there's school tomorrow. I still enjoy going home late. I mean, the night atmosphere is so peaceful. To even walk on the street late night could be an enjoyment. Of course, you must first exclude out all thoughts of meeting a robber or something totally out of this world, before even enjoying the SILENCE of the night!

Then again, silence is not only experienced at a period of time. It can be experienced at any time. Here's a quote to further explain myself.

True silence is the rest of the mind; it is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment.
William Penn (1644 - 1718)

Rest of the mind. That's why enjoy going home alone, maybe not the whole trip, as long as there's one part of the trip where i'm alone with myself, i'll definitely love that part. And that part is usually the MRT trip. Sometimes, when i'm going home alone, i happen to see someone i know at the bus stop or MRT station. I'll sometimes choose to either avoid him/her or even purposely wait for the next bus/train just to get that moment of 'silence'.

Not saying i don't like to be with friends, sometimes i rather choose to be alone. Of course, don't go around avoiding me when i'm going home. Chat with me if you happen to see me when i don't see you, be it i'm trying to avoid you, or just plain coincidence to meet. I'll accept the fact that you've found me and i'll have a partner when going home xD

So, to all the people out there;

Have you found your 'silence'?
