Showstopper

Haven't been blogging for like 2 days only? It seems like i haven't blog for months. Maybe in these 2 days, i've done too much stuff, so much stuff that it seems like at least 30 days work.

Today, i went for the TAS adventure race event. I was appointed traffic road marshal, and around 6am+ i was already at my position, waiting for the damn event to start. As i sat under the traffic light, it started to drizzle. I was hoping that the drizzle won't last long and stuff. Unfortunately, it started to rain and i was forced to wear the poncho, which didn't help much. I was standing out in the rain for like 2 hours doing nothing except looking at vehicles driving past. Jordon was in a much worse condition, he was a road marshal and he didn't have a poncho when it was raining.

Race started around 9am+ and ended around 12pm+. I'm too lazy to elaborate on what happened, but it was still quite fun to join the event. After that, we slacked at the atrium and ate our lunch (i will upload the photos next time). After that, jelin, rachel and me set off towards pasir ris as their church is both at East side. Took MRT to pasir ris and send rachel off at the bus interchange. Then, jelin and me took train back to tanah merah, i was too free at that time, and i have train concession, so i went followed jelin. When she alighted at Expo, i totally forgot her bible was with me. So she quickly ran back into the train before the door close. It's damn funny la! I was like "HAHAHAHAHHAHA!" all the way. In the end, i alighted at Changi Airport and she took the train back to Expo (with her bible xD). From Changi Airport, i took a straight bus home, but i was surprised to see my primary school friend. She still looks the same like before, actually wanted to say 'hi' to her, but in the end, i didn't. Oh well, she probably forgot about me, i changed too much from primary school to now.

The moment i saw jehanne telling me that donald is going to scold the band members, my first reaction was "wtf"

From the chat, it's rather obvious i was pissed. Of course, i can't say the band members are all right. I don't know if any SGLs is gonna ever see this post, but i'm gonna say out my views about this 'scolding' thing

It's not jehanne's fault, she's attached to donald and since they're couples, it's very difficult to keep secrets between each other. If anyone is at fault, it's probably us, for inviting her to come.

The main reason we are not inviting SGLs is because we (band members) are trying out something new, which is adding backup singers like jelin and rachel. We are trying to test something out, it will be best if no SGLs is present at that time. Think about it, how are we going to concentrate when there's someone who is gonna just stand there and look at us do our stuff. Even if we're going to show SGLs our current capabilities, of course we will only show it when we're confident about it. It's not that we're not confident, we're experimenting something out?

Take an analogy.

How is a scientist going to try out his experiments with all his bosses looking at everything he's doing? Imagine trying to take down recordings and results, and there will be always more than a pair of eyes looking at you do things. How would you feel? Weird right? Sometimes, all we need is just some privacy.

I know, the SGLs are worried about the band, i can see it. Partly because we're being quite secretive about our recordings and stuff. About being secretive with out recordings, the first few recordings are not nice, at all. You wouldn't want to show something bad to your seniors right? All these lousy recordings are meant for reference to see where can we improve.

Of course, SGLs have their own point. They want to be at the band practices because they want to see how are we progressing. Maybe it's my fault, i may look unserious about such things, that's why the SGLs are worried. But the problem is, i'm very serious about this band.

All we need, is just some privacy at times. We will do our best to show a good performance to everyone. I have waited for this chance for so long, my first gig. I won't let anything go wrong. Not only that, i don't think only my first gig. This showstopper performance is several band members' first gig. Do you think they will want to do a bad job? Definitely not.

Donald and Denyse is invited to drop by our jamming session on thursday. And on that day, we will destroy all speculations and false accusations. Let's do our best!
